Frequently Asked Questions

Through years of discussion at NRT and the Action Teams we have heard your requests for more options when it comes to your dealer website, and an alternative to our current digital retailing solution, VolksKlick.

Our new approach delivers:

  • Certified program providers with integrated web and digital retail solutions.
  • A design to better support dealer visibility, VW brand perception, and customer engagement.

Dealers will be able to choose between three (3) certified providers:

  • 360 Agency
  • AutoSync
  • D2C Media

Volkswagen Canada’s new requirement for the Dealer Digital Program is that certified providers must be able to offer their integrated, end-to-end solution featuring Website and Digital Retailing. Currently, EDealer does not offer a Digital Retail product that meets this requirement.

Dealers who choose to enrol with a digital provider different than their existing website provider will not be negatively impacted.

  • Existing websites will remain in operation while development is completed.
  • Shift Digital will collaborate with your current and future providers to ensure a seamless transition.
  • VolksKlick remains available to ensure a digital retailing solution throughout the transition period.

The updated Dealer Digital Program is designed for ease of doing business, while offering flexibility. To achieve this:

  1. Dealers will select one (1) certified provider for their Website and Digital Retailing.
  2. Dealers will select a package to fit their needs, with each certified provider featuring three (3) options (Bronze, Silver, Gold) which include Website and Digital Retailing.

No, the Dealer Digital Program requirement only relates to Website and Digital Retailing.

Dealers will have until October 31, 2025, to enroll in the new program with their preferred provider and digital package. Volkswagen Canada understands this is a large undertaking with significant back-end development required, and is giving dealers until February 28, 2026, to complete their transitions.

  • VolksKlick will remain active on all dealer websites until each of the certified program providers have finalized their digital retail integrations.
  • VolksKlick will remain in place until October 31, 2025, at a minimum.
  • Once removal becomes available, Motoinsight will require 30 days’ notice to remove VolksKlick from dealer websites.
  • Communicate directly with your Motoinsight/AutoSync Support representative to coordinate removal.

No! Once VolksKlick is removed from your dealer website you will no longer be billed for the service.

Yes. You can download a CSV file directly from the dealer panel (see image below). Please note:

  • The CSV download feature is made for filtering requests, i.e. open orders, deposits placed, model of interest, etc.
  • It is recommended to download by model, customer request, etc. Simply using "export to CSV" will download all historical data, and cause the query to fail.

Yes. Unite Digital will be adding additional integrations for all three certified providers to share leads from both the website and digital retail platforms.

If you have any questions or require assistance related to the new program, please contact David Crabbe (), or reach out to your dedicated Shift Account Sales Manager.

All dealers are required to select one of the Program Website providers as part of the manufacturer's dealer operating standards.

All of the Certified Website Platform Providers are also Certified Digital Advertising Providers. VW Dealer Digital has also certified 4 industry-leading digital advertising providers to give dealers greater choice. Dealers can choose a different Certified Advertising Provider than their Certified Website provider.

There are no long-term contracts in the VW Dealer Digital Program. The contract period for all programs and services is month-to-month to provide flexibility. If a dealer migrates to a different certified provider, they will maintain the dedicated digital consultant support and reporting through VW Dealer Digital.

All dealers are required to have a certified website. If in the future you cancel your certified website provider, you must choose a new certified website provider to replace it with. However, all other VW Dealer Digital programs have no long-term contracts, and will be billed directly to a dealer's parts statement. Products cancelled on or before the 10th of the month will be billed through the end of the month. Products cancelled after the 10th of the month will be billed through the end of the following month. Please submit any specific billing concerns to .

All Certified Website Platform Providers include information about their programs and product offerings via the "Learn More" pages on the enrollment site. As new providers are added to the program, we will hold webinars to demo their product and take live questions. Finally, the Volkswagen Digital Consultants (VDCs) are available to offer unbiased program information or connect you with providers to learn more.

A new Dig Ad or Provider switch must have a EULA attached to it. If you are upgrading or downgrading your current package with the same provider a new signature is not required. Shift Digital must be contacted about the Provider switch to ensure correct billing is set-up.

Yes. if interested, please reach out to your Volkswagen Digital Consultant (VDC) to discuss transition requirements and eligibility. In many cases the VDC will be able to transition legacy relationships seamlessly.

Dealers are responsible for managing any cancellations for services outside of the VW Dealer Digital Program.

VW Dealer Digital has a library of approved assets that meet all Certified Website requirements and dealers can access available creative through VW Kreativ. Additionally, your VDC will be able to assist with simple website content updates (updating certain specials, web tiles, building pages, etc.). If you require additional creative and/or custom content, there will be additional paid options for creative support.
